Infection control is a
program that Dr. Erfan & Bagedo Hospital has been adopted since the launching
of the medical services in 1981. However, a continuous development
in the infection control program has been successfully accredited by the MRQP.
Infection control program is collaborative action within the hospital
driven by the infection control committee and team under the leadership
of Dr. Hani
Jokhdar (Head of Infection Control) and Dr. Nabil Zamzami (Head of Quality
Improvement).
The future challenge for infection control will be the delicate balancing
of limited resources to prevent hospital-acquired infections while
ensuring compliance with current regulations and legislation. This will
require a coordinated effort among hospital legal, quality assurance,
safety occupational health risk management, and infection control staff.
Active participation in the regulatory and legislative process will also
be essential to ensure the adoption of appropriate, practical, and
cost-effective laws and regulations governing infection prevention and
control programs in hospitals.
