OVERVIEW
From cell biology and vascular pathophysiology to clinically
applicable therapeutics, the 7th JCIS 2007, brings to the
clinical as well as academic physicians the latest concepts in
cardiovascular imaging and treatment.
This year the meeting will include topics on new percutaneous
peripheral vascular intervention, congenital pediatric cardiac
intervention and evolving coronary, surgical and percutaneous
interventional issues.
Drug Eluting Stents became state of the art in interventional
therapy for treatment of coronary artery occlusion, yet
increasing concern has emerged regarding safety. Are we up to
date on these issues?
The new trends in heart failure like surgical ventricular restoration and
Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) are
covered in a special session.
Sudden cardiac death, primary and secondary preventions, one of
the most important topics as well as CPR will be covered in a
separate session.
There are other more topics like hypertension, dyslipidemia, new
trends in stem-cell therapy, the latest modalities of
cardiovascular imaging and cardiac markers highlighting their
evolving clinical application.
Live cases from JHI, Cath. Lab. intervene lectures to be
discussed with the experts & audience.
