Scope of Services:

  • The hospital covers all age groups among its services since it is a general, tertiary hospital. Age groups coverage are specified among concerned departments Manual.

  • The hospital runs 24 hours services, 7 days a week.

  • The main working hours for the OPD are split duty hours, 09:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 21:00.

  • In-between clinics are run 13:00 to 17:00 and 21:00 to 01:00.

  • Emergency room coverage is 24hours, 7days a week.

  • Full pharmacy support is provided for outpatient and inpatient services, 24hours a day and 7 days a week.

  • The hospital services include Medical Imaging & Laboratory Departments with state of art technology, which is updated according to work needs (review details in both Medical Imaging and Laboratory Departments’ manuals).

  • EBH daily outpatient census range from 1,600 to 1,800 patients.

  • EBH average daily inpatient census is 170 to 200 patients and it varies according to
    Saudi Arabia seasons.

Community Participation:

  • EBH is one of more than seventy Jeddah and Makkah Area hospitals participating Contingency Hospital System, to utilize civilian hospitals and physicians for casualties in case of major civilian emergencies or war emergency. The plan has been expanded for the purpose of efficiently managing a situation in which patients returning from a casualty zone exceed the capability of military and governmental Hospital System, EBH has agreed to make available up to 40 hospital beds (20% of its capacity).

  • EBH shall be an active member of the community activity through sharing in national and international activity to be held in Saudi Arabia (e.g. National Diabetics Day, National Asthma Day…..).

  • EBH through its leading position in Saudi Healthcare private sector, organize more than five yearly National Symposia covering different fields of medicine (e.g. Psychiatry  Topics, GIT Endoscopy, Cardiology invasive and noninvasive diagnostic maneuvers, Radiology new modalities and new interventional techniques ……….)

  • EBH Leaders (Dr. Mohamed Erfan) are active members of Makkah Region Committees in relation to Healthcare:

    • Member of Health Development Council, Makkah Region

    • Member of the Executive Committee for Makkah Region Health Development Council

    • Vice-President of Cardiac Society

    • Board Member of Prince Majed Society

    • Member of the Ministry of Health Quality Committee

Customer Focus:

The Hospital have established the following to ensure realizing customers requirements and improve their satisfaction:

  1. When a client visits the hospital, staff members’ proceed first to find out the reason the client is there. The initial assessment of a patient is to identifying his or her needs and starting the care process according to that need, in appropriate time frame with consideration to local law and regulation, patient efficient flow of services and appropriate transfer or discharge of patient.

  2. The prime responsibility of Dr. Erfan and Bagedo General Hospital is to endeavor to assure that the patient's rights are preserved, to know and understand patient and family rights and their responsibilities as identified in laws and regulations and keep the human relationship between the patient and the hospital harmonious.

  3. The assessment of patient’s standards describes the basis for care delivery. A plan for each patient based on an assessment of his or her needs and expectations. That care may be preventive, curative, palliative, or rehabilitative and may include medication, anesthesia, surgery, supportive therapies, or a combination of these. The delivery of services must be coordinated and integrated by all processes caring for the patient.

  4. The hospital establishes technical evaluation departments to improve the performance and review of customer (company, credit and insurance) invoices against patient's medical reports; to avoid inquiries of different companies about the details of invoices, and cause unnecessary delay of payment. e. The hospital establishes customer feedback methods to improve customer and patient’s satisfaction.
